I have lived in the village for over 24 years, during which I have played an active role in many of the village functions such as the Summer BBQ, the Harvest Supper, Carol Singing and The Village Green Garden. I agreed to join the Parish Council because I felt with my 40 year’s experience of running a local business I could assist with Council matters.
I wish to see the village continue to be a lovely place to live in. I intend to help improve village facilities and to find out, and hopefully assist in providing the other things that the villagers would like to see.
I have served on the Parish Council since Spring 2018. I have run my own soft furnishings business since 1995, and am both an avid dancer (including taking part in a Charity Dance competition in October 2012) and keen horsewoman.
My aim as a councillor is to work closely with the Parish community, focusing on the key issues and ensuring we achieve harmonious outcomes.
I’ve lived in Hardmead since I was born and remember well riding my bike to Astwood as a child to buy toys and sweets at the old Post Office. I’m a farmer and I love old cars that don’t have computers running them!

I've joined the Parish Council primarily to support the management and maintenance of the Neighbourhood Plan, to assess whether new development applications align to the Plan's policies, whilst equally ensuring that the Plan remains aligned to current regulations.
Hello I am Paul Das from Hardmead. We got to this lovely village via
Surrey, Delhi and Silicon Valley.
I am a firm believer in doing the best for the neighbourhood you live in
and joining the Parish Council seemed a great way to make (hopefully) a
meaningful contribution.
You may see me walking around Hardmead trying to get my 10k steps in
with by Bernese Mountain dog Bella!!
